[Track & Field] Kucera Adds National Field Athlete of the Week HonorsPublished by
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced its men's indoor track and field athletes of the week for competitions from January 30-February 15, 2023. For the second time this season, Midland University's Dylan Kucera has been named the NAIA Men's Field Athlete of the Week, joining Joseph Taylor of Southeastern (Fla.), who was named the track athlete of the week. The duo was also chosen for the week of January 9-15. They were chosen out of a pool of nominees from across the country. Kucera, a senior from Fremont, Nebraska, won both throwing events at the DWU Alumni Meet on Saturday. He set a new season-best in both events, reaching 19.83m in the weight throw and 18.68m in the shot put. He is now ranked 2nd nationally in the weight throw and 1st in the shot put among NAIA athletes. Read the full article at: www.midlandathletics.com
