KEARNEY, Neb. – Midland University sent a handful of indoor track and field athletes to University of Nebraska-Kearney to compete in the Charlie Foster Pre-Holiday Classic over the weekend. The event, which originally was scheduled for two days, took place on Saturday inside Cushing Coliseum.

Midland's throwers performed very well as the meet with four top six finishes and one athlete adding to the list of national qualifiers. Dylan Kucera, who has already reached the 'B' standard in the weight throw, took 5th place the men's shot put with a throw of 50' 3.25" which surpasses the NAIA 'B' Standard in the event. He also moves into 10th on the Midland Indoor Top 10 list. Teammate Reid Kirlin was 7th in the event with an effort of 47' 10".
